Barracuda Championship extended through 2025

Every year since 2014, Barracuda has invited customers and partners to join us in the Reno-Tahoe-Truckee area for the Barracuda Championship. Before watching the professional competition, our guests can enjoy Pro-Am tournaments, golf clinics, charity events, and more. This is an exciting event for us because it’s a beautiful and relaxed environment where we make new friends while reuniting with those who have been with us for a while.

We are pleased to announce that we’ll be joining our customers and partners again this year, as we have just extended our title sponsorship of this event through 2025.

The Barracuda Championship is a PGA TOUR and DP World Tour event that takes place at Tahoe Mountain Club’s Old Greenwood Golf Course in Truckee, California. The course is located in the Sierra Nevada mountains, nearly 6,000 feet above sea level, and is a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design. The event is the only tier-1 professional sporting event in the area, and has raised over $5 million for local charities.

The Barracuda Championship offers competitors a unique and rewarding event. It is featured on both the PGA TOUR’s FedExCup and the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai in 2023. The winner receives 300 FedExCup points, 710 Race to Dubai points, and a two-year exemption on both the PGA TOUR (one year for non-members) and DP World Tour. The event also encourages aggressive play with its Modified Stableford scoring format by changing how points are awarded for each score. This scoring format may have more impact on strategy and performance when used in higher-elevation courses.
