Barracuda wins 5 Global InfoSec Awards

Wow! The 2024 Cyber Defense Magazine Global InfoSec Awards have been announced, and Barracuda is the proud recipient of five — count’em, five — awards!

Now, we here at Barracuda have been saying for a while that today’s complex threat environment — with sophisticated ransomware attacks that target multiple vectors simultaneously — requires a comprehensive, integrated, platform-based approach to security. Barracuda Managed XDR, one of our newest offerings, earned us the Trailblazer award in this category. Delivered through our managed service provider (MSP) partners, it’s essentially a SOC-as-a-Service platform.

In this very important network-security category, Barracuda SecureEdge won the Best Product award. Yet again, this award validates Barracuda’s cloud-centered, platform-focused vision of the future of cybersecurity.

SecureEdge is a cloud-delivered SASE platform that brings together several advanced network-security technologies, including network-wide Zero Trust Access, Firewall-as-a-Service, modern web security, and fully integrated SD-WAN capabilities to ensure reliable, optimized, highly secure connectivity everywhere.

Web Application Security

So now we come to web-app security, a product category that has long been vexed by excessively complex products with limited capabilities.

Barracuda Application Protection earned the Most Innovative award, and we couldn’t agree more. Our app-security team has definitely hit the mark with this cloud-first platform that combines full-featured WAF capabilities with cutting-edge API protection, comprehensive DDoS protection, advanced protection against modern bots, app-delivery security and optimization, and actionable, customizable reporting and analytics.
