Barracuda MSP enhances solution and service offerings for today’s security-centric MSP

Managed service providers (MSPs) are facing a perfect storm. The expanded remote workforce, acceleration of digital transformation, increased rate of cloud adoption, and rapidly evolving threat landscape are all driving MSPs to be laser-focused on cybersecurity.

These updates include the new availability of Barracuda CloudGen Access for MSPs to Barracuda MSP partners, as well as enhancements to our security-centric remote monitoring and management tool—including a new name.

Barracuda CloudGen Access brings ZTNA to MSPs

Barracuda CloudGen Access for MSPs is a multi-tenanted Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solution that enables MSPs to quickly and easily protect customers’ resources and implement control for any unmanaged BYOD devices, while ensuring customers’ remote workers stay productive with secure, fast, and reliable access. It expands an MSP’s multilayered security service offerings beyond the traditional network perimeter.

The addition of CloudGen Access complements the protection Barracuda MSP provides via the Barracuda RMM platform and other solutions by focusing on providing secure access to apps and workload, from any device . Security-centric RMM platform updates and new branding

Barracuda acquired Managed Workplace RMM in 2019 and has been innovating the platform ever since, including  connecting to Office 365 APIs, introducing automated third-party software update and patch management via Barracuda Advanced Software Management, and more. As Barracuda MSP continues our commitment to the security-centric journey with MSP partners, we have decided to name the scalable, cloud-based RMM platform Barracuda RMM.

In addition to the new name, we also released a new version of Barracuda RMM. The new release introduces integration with Barracuda Intronis Backup, a software-only backup and disaster recovery solution that offers flexible, comprehensive data protection. MSPs can now deploy, monitor, and manage their Intronis Backup from within Barracuda RMM, reducing the number of interfaces an MSP needs to monitor and manage their customers. Through Barracuda RMM, MSPs can access an at-a-glance view of their customers’ backup statuses and generate brandable reports to help them demonstrate their value to their customers.
